Flamenco is one of the signs of identity of Spain and an art that both national and international tourists do not miss on their trips to the south of the peninsula. Specifically, Granada is one of the places where you can enjoy this dance, but not only in the different flamenco shows that take place every day in different venues, but also attending a flamenco festival in Granada this 2024.

In Granada there are not one or two flamenco festivals, but many more. In this article we tell you everything you need to know about the three most important ones so you don’t miss them if you travel to the city on their dates of celebration or if you want to make your trip coincide with them.

Granada es flamenco 365, the new Granada Flamenco Festival this 2024

This Flamenco Festival in Granada is going to take place for the first time in 2024, specifically from September 14 to 22. It will be the prelude to what is known as the Granada Flamenco Biennial, another Granada Flamenco Festival that will not be held in 2024, but in 2025, and which we will tell you about in the next section.

In “Granada es flamenco 365” will participate local artists who are especially linked to places like Albaicín or Sacromonte, such as Estrella Morente, and will perform in emblematic monuments and establishments such as the Mirador de San Nicolás, the Palacio de los Córdoba or the Abadía del Sacromonte, among others. In short, unique artists in unique environments.

This Granada Flamenco Festival to be held in 2024 is part of a project of the City Council and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Andalusian Regional Government to make the city a European Cultural Capital by 2031.

To learn more about this event, the different performances and dates, we encourage you to visit the official website. Tickets can be purchased through the website Redentradas.com and apparently a high demand is expected, so we recommend you to book them soon.

The first Granada Flamenco Biennial

Like the Flamenco Festival “Granada es flamenco 365” in 2024, the biennial is also a new event that will take place for the first time in 2025, also within the framework of the European Cultural Capital project.

Specifically, the biennial will be held in the second half of September next year and we still have to wait a bit to buy tickets and know the date of the performances that will take place.

Milnoff Flamenco Festival in Granada, edition 2024

Unlike the previous ones, the Milnoff Flamenco Festival of Granada does not have its first edition in 2024, but already has no more and no less than five editions.

This year it took place from June 11 to 15, but it is usually held every year and always in the summer season. The shows that are offered also take place in emblematic locations and, in the last edition, artists of the stature of José Maya and Pepe Luis Habichuela attended. The purchase of tickets and all the information about this festival can be found on the official website.

The raison d’être of this event lies in the objective of its creators to give the city of Granada a high-level socio-cultural event that would bring together the different disciplines of flamenco.
