The dancer is as much a part of the music as the <a href=\"https:\/\/flamencogranada.com\/en\/flamenco-guitar-show-in-granada\/\">guitar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The braceo is the opposite \u2014 the slow work of arms and hands, drawing shapes while the feet strike. The bata de cola \u2014the long-trained skirt\u2014 is handled with the feet, and making it turn without stepping on it is among the hardest things in the repertoire. The dancer and the musicians answer each other live \u2014 a call with the foot, the guitar picking it up, the singer deciding to stretch a line.
